Instructors Program

The purpose of the Instructors Program offered by Kenny's Academy of Barbering is to give students the opportunity to develop, prepare, then train, as required to teach cosmetology or any disciplines associated with the cosmetology and or barbering profession. Through this workforce development programming, individuals will be able to join the skilled labor sector that will support personal and professional development, contribute to community stability, and offer and enhance quality of life. Anyone who holds a current barbering license and or cosmetology license issued by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency may apply. Cosmetology Program

The Cosmetology Science Diploma program offered by Kenny's Academy of Barbering is fun and exciting. You get to implement all the new styles and trends you see on magazines or on television. You learn how to professionally tap that creativity and use the correct methods of application according to industry standards. As a student you will be provided in-depth instructions in areas regarding the treatment of hair, nails and skin. In terms of total hours, faculty, resources, facilities, libraries, and course material, the program complies with the requirements of the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.

Kenny's Academy of Barbering requires that students work there for a predetermined number of practical/clinical hours. Students are prepared to take the licensing exam offered by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency once they have finished the required curriculum and practical/clinical hours. In Indiana, cosmetology practitioners are required to hold a license.

Barbering Program

Earning your Barber Science Diploma program offered by Kenny's Academy of Barbering is a great opportunity to sharpen your skills and abilities. As a new student you will gain hands-on experience in areas like styling, chemical treatments, skincare, and haircutting/shaping.

A KAB Diploma will help position you to take on careers in the beauty culture industry and to become an entrepreneur jump starting your path to success.

During the program you will also receive lectures from leading industry experts and training inclusive of product knowledge. The curriculum also includes required competency exams, exam preparation, and exam reviews in order to achieve the criteria set by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency. All discipline courses are delivered by certified instructors using recognized facilities, equipment used in the industry, and high-caliber course material that complies with regulatory standards.
